不同于静态艺术，而又近似于生物媒介艺术的是，机械动态艺术通常是具有生命周期的，它取决于电路、电机、传感器或传动结构的稳定性和持久性。12V 有刷减速电机的连续工作寿命通常为 1,000 小时。当作品开启时，电机驱动背后的丝线不断吐出并散落在地面上，同时上方的 LED 数字管开始进行工作寿命倒计时（初始时间为 3,600,000 秒）。理论上，当倒计时为 0 时，丝线便被全部吐尽，同时电机将完全损耗，作品宣告死亡。

When the work is turned on, the thread behind the motor drive spits out and scattered on the ground, while the LED display above begins to count down the operating life (initial time of 3,600,000 seconds). Theoretically, when the countdown reaches 0, the thread will be entirely spit out, the motor will be completely lost, and the work will be declared dead.
